RDWdigital

What sort of books do we do?

bk4Unlike other digital printers, most of whom do not have fully equipped binderies, we offer an unrivalled range of finishing options. Our staff is fully equipped and trained to produce high quality sewn and unsewn paperbacks, hardbacks and special bindings (ie leather and special finishes).

We can produce books to almost any size, thickness and format and offer facilities to produce standard text quality and high quality colour and monochrome pages including plate sections on paper stocks ranging from 60 gsm to 350 gsm on book woves, coated, uncoated, gloss and matt art stocks as well as special digital stocks.

binderBooks can be perfect, notch or sewn bound either into paperback style printed and laminated board covers (including winged style and fold-outs) or hardback cases (flat or rounded backs) with printed covers or cloth. We can foil block in an array of colours and supply slipcases, book boxes and other presentation materials.

At RDW Digital, our customers decide how they want their books to look and they choose the exact quantity they want, from a single printed book to many thousands, all produced efficiently and professionally at economic prices.

What else do RDW do to help book publishers?

bk5RDW offer a full design service and publishing support where required. The Company can provide high resolution facsimile and microfiche scanning and archiving, OCR and digitisation, HTML and XML rendering, as well as design and typesetting services.

We can also disbind and rebind books after scanning so that rare original copies can be facsimile reproduced without damage to the original work.

At our brand new specialist facility in Falkirk we also conserve rare and cherished books and manuscripts (we are the only UK conservator fully certified with the Society of Archivists and the Institute of Conservation).
